In-Person Sessions

Through all the changes and challenges of the Pandemic, your health and emotional wellbeing have remained my highest priority. With that in mind, I’d like to share with you that I am now double vaccinated and offering in-person sessions for interested clients who have been fully vaccinated. Following the latest guidelines, we have implemented the following protocols to help keep us and our families safe:

  • All in-person clients must be vaccinated and symptom free

  • We've installed HEPA air purifiers to help eliminate aerosols from the environment and ensure that all common surfaces are cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis

Despite our best efforts, we cannot eliminate every risk of exposure and we depend on your thoughtfulness and cooperation to help ensure our success.

Teletherapy

When it comes to online psychotherapy, I'm no longer a skeptic. Since the start of the pandemic, I've been seeing clients on an online platform called DOXI.ME, a secure internet connection that meets privacy requirements for mental health professionals. I’ve discovered that online therapy can be a necessary and effective alternative to in-person therapy. For some clients, the convenience and flexibility of online therapy is another reason to choose this option.

If you’re thinking about trying online therapy, I invite you to call or email me for a free 15-minute telephone consultation and wish you and your family the best of health and wellbeing.

Walk & Talk Therapy

Walk & talk therapy is very similar to traditional in-person therapy except that we’re walking side-by-side while we explore the issues that are on your mind. Walk & talk therapy offers an alternative to the traditional office setting and taps into the healing power of movement and the outdoors. This outdoor setting can help you relax and feel more comfortable opening up. Walk & talk sessions offer a second in-person option. Walking takes place on the Green-Belt in Hermosa Beach. Sessions begin and end at my office, located one block away from the walking path.

Notice: The “No Surprises Act"

As of January 1, 2022, the “No Surprises Act” gives you the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of your mental health care costs. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who either don’t have insurance or are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical and psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of psychotherapy services.

You can ask me, or any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule your first session. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
